Saint-Sauves d'Auvergne is a charming village typical of the Puy-de-Dôme region, in the heart of the Auvergne Volcanoes Regional Nature Park, near La Bourboule and Le Mont-Dore. It boasts an interesting architectural heritage, as well as a number of remarkable sites and events. Its proximity to some of the region's most beautiful sites makes it an ideal holiday destination to discover Auvergne and its mysteries.

The Puy de Dôme is also renowned for the virtues of its mineral waters, which have been recognised since Antiquity and continue to this day with its thermal baths. La Bourboule boasts exceptional air quality and waters that reduce inflammation.
As for Le Mont-Dore, with its superb thermal baths, some of which are listed as historic monuments, it defies the test of time, thanks to modern facilities dedicated mainly to respiratory ailments and rheumatic treatments.
In winter, at Le Mont-Dore, the slopes of the Puy de Sancy are covered in snow to make way for a family-friendly winter sports resort with 32 runs and 14 ski lifts.
In summer and winter alike, you'll be enchanted by the many outdoor activities on offer in our beautiful region, and you can take advantage of its infrastructure (the Sancy and Perdrix cable cars at Super Besse) to admire the breathtaking panoramas.
Hiking and nature walks
Between volcanoes and outdoor activities, the Sancy massif offers breathtaking landscapes to discover along its 670km of marked trails, on foot, on horseback, or even by scooter, past waterfalls, lush green panoramas, and mountain lakes. Among them, the highest in Auvergne, the majestic Lac de Guéry; Lac Chambon with its two beaches and shallow waters, awarded the Blue Flag; or Lac des Hermines in Super Besse with its water sports center where paddleboarding and canoeing await. The numerous lakes, rivers, and streams will also delight fishing enthusiasts. Sports enthusiasts will find in the Sancy an ideal terrain for training in trail running, mountain biking (with 570km of routes), cycle touring, or even climbing.
